The three most Important decisions

Our reading notes on Naval Ravikant

• In Most Difficult Things in Life, The Solution is Indirect

Ravikant uses wealth and happiness to illustrate a problem with aiming directly at an outcome. He describes activities that absorb his attention and work that creates value for someone else. His account offers a way to choose an action today. Judge the action by what it produces for the person you are trying to serve.

• Live in the Future

Ravikant sits down with Garry Tan, Daniel Francis and Farbood Nivi. The publisher’s chapter list marks a discussion of novelty in writing at 14:25, then turns to how the founders imagine working in 2028 at 18:50. For an editor faced with a familiar-sounding draft, those four minutes offer a narrower listening assignment than the hour-long conversation.

• The AI Industrial Revolution

Ravikant describes returning to coding through agents after years away. He says knowing the underlying engineering principles helped him use the tools without learning every new framework first. The transcript identifies the other founders by name, so a reader can follow where their experiences with real infrastructure differ.
