The Mindset Shift That Made Me Millions | Robert Herjavec

Our reading notes on Codie Sanchez

• This Mindset Shift Can 10x Your Income | Chris Do

Sanchez’s BigDeal interview with designer Chris Do examines what happens when a client pushes back on a creative proposal. Do ties pricing to positioning and specificity. An estimate for “design work” leaves the buyer to guess which problem the work will solve and what makes that particular designer a fit.

• From Laundromat to Millions: Codie Sanchez on Buying Her First Business — and the Steps to Acquire Your Own

In an interview reported by Jasmin Suknanan, Sanchez describes buying a laundromat while she still had a corporate role. The account opens questions about what made that particular business manageable and how a different buyer might verify the work involved. Use it as one buyer’s account of the work.

• The Illusion of Safety

Sanchez frames reliance on one employer as a concentration risk and draws on her experience running a laundromat while working in finance. She recalls having to fix machines and cover for missing staff. Someone considering a side business can use those details to ask whether an additional income stream also depends on the same scarce hours.
